Welcome!
You are welcome to visit our Tatar house in Kruszyniany.
You are the guests of Dżenneta and Mirosław Bogdanowicz.
Our Tatar household is located in the heart of Kruszyniany Primeval Forest, a Podlachian village of Kruszyniany (3km away from Belarusian border, 50km away from Białystok).
The farm owes its peace and quiet to its location away from the urban hustle and bustle, in the village running its lazy rural life. For several years we've been continuing family traditions and running an agricultural farm.
Our house is a perfect place to rest for both enthusiasts of peace and quiet, beauty of nature and blissful idleness, and people enjoying active leisure.
Our wooden, cosy house offers 24 beds in 5 rooms.
Kruszyniany, located on the Tatar route, is a special place on the map of Podlaskie Voivodeship.
The place is often called a cultural melting pot as this is a crosspoint of three major religions: Catholicism, Moslemizm and the Orthodox Church.
To address this special place a 6km ecumenical route was created in Kruszyniany. It is a perfect place to learn interesting facts on each of the three religions and spend time actively outdoor Apart from that there are many routes, nature and culture trails, which can be visited both on foot and by bicycle.
One of the major attractions of our small village are: historic mosque, a nearby Mizar (a Muslim cemetery) and small Orthodox church.
The neighbouring forests are true natural and wildlife treasures. They are rich in countless species of mushrooms and animals and are home to moose, roe deer, deer, hares, boars and wolves.
In the late autumn, winter and spring, on the surrounding fields a visitor can observe bison herds which pose for photographs in their splendour and delight the eyes of tourists.
Our guests may also count on horse-drawn cab rides, sleigh rides, fires with traditional lamb roasting.
For large organized groups we organize Tatar cuisine workshops where everyone can get inside into it and learn its secrets.
We also organize periodical party SABANTUJ and OGÓLNOPOLSKI FESTIWAL KUCHNI TATARSKIEJ (all-Polish Festival of Tatar Cuisine) during which we want to present Tatar culture, religion and tradition through entertainment, dance and music.
The main attraction and advantage of our farm is of course delicious Tatar food!!!
The hungry visitors are welcome to try authentic Tatar dishes which for centuries have been prepared by Tatar housewives. Pierekoczwnik, trybuszok, kibina, pieremiacz, cebulnik, samsa and many other interesting and untypical dishes which now can be tasted only in Tatar houses.
You will have chance to try and appreciate the oriental cuisine. The housewife Dżenneta Bogdanowicz won the title of world champion in cooking babka cake and kiszka ziemniaczana (potato sausage).
The tastiness of the dishes served by us has been appreciated by many famous people (e.g. Prince Charles, Robert Makłowicz, Piotr Bikont, Adam Małysz, Don Vasyl, Muniek Staszczyk, Jarosław Kazberuk, Włodzimierz Zientarski, Emilia Krakowska, Pascal Brodnicki, Maciej Nowak, Bartek Opania, Maja Ostaszewska, Michał Fajbusiewicz, Aleksandra Kwaśniewska, Andrzej Grabarczyk, Zenon Martyniuk, Katarzyna Herman, Dariusz Krupa, Zbigniew Buczkowski, Kora, Agnieszka Grochowsaka, Czesław Mozil, Katarzyna Grochola, Michał Ogórek).
